Preston Lee Hudson Jr., Perdue retiree

Mr. Preston” Lee” Hudson Jr., 50, of Gumboro, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2011.

Lee was born July 18, 1961, to the late Preston Hudson Sr. and Madelyn P. Phillips Hudson.

Lee worked for Perdue in Salisbury, Md. as a feed operator for 28-and-a-half years. He was a member of the Burnt Swamp Sportsman’s Association and National Rifle Association. He loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting and spending time with friends and family.

He is survived by his wife, Violet Hudson of Gumboro, six children, Billy, Tommy, Marky, Lara,  Ryan and Tessa; sisters Janice Perdue and her husband James of Gumboro, and Joyce Brittingham and her husband Gary and brother, Richard Hudson, all of Gumboro; granddaughter, Gracie Marie; nieces, Nicky and her husband D.J. and Maddie and nephews, J.R. and his wife Beth, Nicholas, Caleb, and Dylan.  He is also survived by many friends and extended family members.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 27, at Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., where friends may call one hour prior. Friends may also call from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, Aug. 26.  Pastor Bob Hudson will officiate. Interment will follow at Jerusalem U.M. Church Cemetery, Parsonsburg, Md.
