Thomas J. Clover Jr., cherished family

Thomas J. Clover Jr., 83, of Milford and Philadelphia, Pa., passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2018, at Delaware Veterans Home in Milford. He was born Sunday, Nov. 11, 1934, in Philadelphia, son of the late Thomas and Margaret (Coates) Clover.

Mr. Clover was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, serving proudly during the Korean War. He enjoyed spending time at his summer home in Sea Breeze, where his love for boating kept him on the water at every opportunity. Mr. Clover loved listening to music and singing to the fellow residents of the Delaware Veterans Home, where he had resided since 2011. Above all, he cherished time with his beloved family. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was loved by many and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Clover was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Joan Clover, in 2009; his brother, Jack Clover; his sister, Margaret Lowry; and his nephew, Joseph Lowry. He is survived by his children: Thomas Clover (Dee Wilk), Cathleen Bugieda, and James Michael Clover; his grandchildren: Austin Clover, William Wolf, Brittany Wolf and James Clover; his great-granddaughter, Adelina Wolf; his sister, Kay Bonowski (Jack); his nephew, John Bonowski; and his nieces: Karen Bonowski and Peggy Kazlavskas.

A Chapel Committal Service will be held Tuesday, July 17, at 1 p.m., at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro. Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Lewes.
