Atkins being held in prison’s pretrial section for violating no-contact order

Former state legislator John Atkins, 48, has been detained at Sussex Correctional Institution for harassment and four counts of violating a no-contact order.

Department of Correction spokesperson Jamie Young said Atkins is currently being held in the prison’s pretrial section and it is unknown how long he is expected to remain in custody.
