Marian E. Phillips, St. John’s UM member

Marian E. Phillips, 87, of Georgetown passed away Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2018, at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford.

Marian was born in Roxana, the daughter of the late Horace M. McCabe Sr. and Martha (Wharton) McCabe.

She was a regular attender of St. John’s United Methodist Church in Georgetown. She enjoyed cooking and making homemade soup for her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Horace McCabe Jr.; and sister Helen Maddox.

She is survived by her son, Garney J. Hall; sister-in-law, Artinzia McCabe; two grandchildren, Martha Metz and husband Michael, and Jamie Hall and fiancée Renae Sizer; four great-grandchildren, Ashley Metz, Sean Metz, G.J. Hall II and Thomas Hall; two stepgreat-grandchildren, Hallie Sizer and Morgan Sizer; as well as several nieces and a nephew.

Services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to  Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963, or St. John’s U.M. Church, 22910 Park Ave., Georgetown, DE 19947.
