David Bruce Duncan, loved the outdoors
David Bruce Duncan, 75, of Lewes, formerly of Kearny, Medford Lakes, and Hampton, N.J., passed away Thursday, Sept. 27, 2018, at his home. He was born Feb. 14, 1943, in Kearny, son of the late John M. and Martha E. (Trench) Duncan.
Mr. Duncan was a proud U.S. Army veteran, serving with the 82nd Airborne. He was self-employed, and owned and operated his own lawn care business. Mr. Duncan was an enthusiastic lover of all things outdoors, especially boating, fishing and hunting. He was also a skilled carpenter who enjoyed all kinds of woodworking. Above all, he cherished time spent with those he held most dear. Mr. Duncan was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He was loved by many, and will be genuinely missed by all who knew him.
Mr. Duncan is survived by his beloved wife, Sandra (Arrowsmith) Duncan; his children: Scott Duncan (Annie), Todd Duncan, Sean Gutierrez-Duncan (Alejandro), and Erin Whitescarver (James); his grandchildren: Paige Santin, Morgan Kunzman, Avery Duncan, Cameron Duncan, Cassidy Duncan, Aidan Duncan, Emery Whitescarver, Dezire Whitescarver and Brielle Whitescarver; and two great-grandchildren: Sebastian Santin and Sloane Kunzman. Mr. Duncan is also survived by his brother Gavin Duncan (Alice) and Joann Carmody (Tom).
All services will be private. Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Lewes.
