Blessing the harvest machines
More than a dozen tractors, new and old, participated in the sixth annual Israel United Methodist Church Drive Your Tractor to Church Day Oct. 14.
The two-and-a-half-mile tractor parade started at Rabbit’s Ferry Community Center on Robinsonville Road before making its way to the church parking lot on Plantation Road.
As part of the event, there was a blessing of the tractors prior to the worship service. The United Methodist Women's Ministry accepted canned goods, pastas and other nonperishable food items in support of the Faith UMC soup kitchen pantry in Rehoboth Beach.
