Thirteen condominiums in Rainbow Cove were sold at auction at the Rusty Rudder, Sept. 10. Bids began at $85,000; winning bids averaged in the high $200,000s.
Max Spann Real Estate and Auction Co., of Annandale, N.J., hosted an auction for three-bedroom, furnished condominiums in Rainbow Cove, owned by Highway One, located bayside on Dagsworthy Avenue in Dewey Beach.
The company called the auction "Last Call for Dewey Beach." Glen McDonald, business development director for Max Spann Real Estate and Auction, said the auction attracted a standing-room-only crowd.
“Everyone left the auction happy – buyers happy to get great condos in Dewey at affordable prices and sellers happy to close out the project – so the auction was a huge success,” McDonald said.
McDonald said buyers were a mix of locals and first-time property owners in Dewey Beach.
