Deny Howeth in solo exhibition at Nassau Valley Vineyard Gallery

See new work at the reception
November 6, 2018

Deny Howeth’s photography is on exhibit at the Nassau Valley Vineyard Gallery, 32165 Winery Way, Lewes, through November. A reception will be held from 4 to 6 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 8.

A Sussex County native, her landscape work is local scenes shown in moody light of early morning or sunset. Flowers and plants appear in interpretive graphic detail. Included in this exhibit is new interpretive work using her photography as transfers on wood and tile. Also included are black and white portraits of locals, one of Howeth’s favorite subjects, connecting stories to the pictures.

"Photography grounds and elates me, and I'm inspired by nature and its perfection," Howeth said. “I see things that compel me to take a photograph, things that are ordinary or small and go unseen by others. This is my purpose as a visual storyteller."

Howeth’s work appears in the Cape Gazette newspaper, Edible Magazine, Delaware Today, and on her blog at cape gazette.com and website denyhoweth.com. She also has a line of jewelry based on her photography, available at GlassHowes, located at 140 East Market Street in Georgetown.

She will be teaching transfer technique in November at GlassHowes; contact 302-396-3266 for details.
