Sussex Tech soccer falls to Sallies 7-0

November 12, 2018

The Sussex Tech soccer team ended its season at 8-4-4 Nov. 10 with a 7-0 loss to top-seeded Salesianum at Milford’s Briggs Stadium. The Sals outshot the Ravens 15-3, with Sussex Tech keeper Jodi Johnson making seven saves. Sallies also led in corner kicks 7-0.

Sallies struck first at the 13-minute mark and added three more before the halftime break. They continued their offensive prowess by adding three more in the second half.

“Tonight’s defeat to an excellent Salesianum team was tough,” said Tech head coach Carlos Villa. “But it doesn’t take away from how proud I am of our team. We had a very successful season returning to the state tournament. Hopefully this team will take all of the experiences from this year and use them to grow and become resilient young men.”
