Reilly to bring Sinatra stylings back to Milton Theatre Jan. 12

January 6, 2019

Sean Reilly and the Sinatra Centennial Orchestra will return to the Milton Theater at 8 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 12, at 110 Union St., Milton.

“We all know the up tunes, but Sinatra’s real talent was storytelling – a ballad. No one poured their heart and soul into each word and verse like Frank did,” said Sean Reilly. He’ll detail such classic ballads as “All The Way,” “Angel Eyes,” “Moon River” and more.

“Each song is like a three-minute movie, some with sad endings,” Reilly added. “We’ll still do ‘Fly Me To The Moon,’ ‘New York, New York’ ... after all, that’s what people come to hear, Frank’s big hits.”

Reilly's singing career took off in 2009 when he won the Frank Sinatra Idol Contest in Hoboken, N.J. The event pays tribute to Hoboken's most famous son with a contest to see who the best “Ol’ Blue Eyes” is. Reilly’s winning song was “The Best Is Yet To Come."

Reilly said, “What a thrill for me! To win the Frank Sinatra Idol Contest in Frank Sinatra Park in Frank’s birthplace of Hoboken, N.J.? C'mon now, try and top that.”
