Family Fix-it Fest seeks vendors for festival at Hudson Fields

February 28, 2019

Family Fix-it Fest, a new community event, will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, May 18, at Hudson Fields. The rain date is Saturday, May 25.

The simple goal of event organizers is to inspire and help make this season of home improvements and decorating the easiest ever by combining a marketplace of makers and sellers of handmade, antique or vintage goods for the home, alongside the area’s top and most respected home-related businesses.

In a fun, interactive environment for the whole family, there will be one giant outdoor vendor showcase, an arts and craft fair, and a family festival all rolled into one. Admission is free. There will be food trucks, raffle prizes, beer and wine, and musical entertainment. For younger attendees, there will be a variety of hands-on STEM activities, sensory play, building games, Touch-A-Truck experiences and construction-based challenges.

Artists, crafters of home decor items, sellers of antiques, vintage furniture and household items are needed to offer goods in the vendor fair. To reserve a table for selling goods in the marketplace, go to www.familyfixitfest.com. To keep thematic consistency, only makers and sellers of goods for the home will be accepted. This event will have no vendors of jewelry, clothing or personal items.

Commercial sponsorships and home vendor spaces also are available for businesses offering products or services in the local home and garden industry. For more information for commercial businesses, email familyfixitfest@gmail.com.
