Rings class at Heidi Lowe Gallery to begin April 16

Exhibit opening and happy hour set April 26
April 10, 2019

Heidi Lowe Gallery will host its popular rings class and kick off its summer exhibition schedule with a brooch show this month.

For those inspired to make their own jewelry, gallery owner and jeweler Heidi Lowe will teach a ring-making workshop, Rings! Rings! Rings! The class meets from 6 to 9 p.m. on four Tuesday nights: April 16, 23, 30 and May 7. The class cost is $350 per person, including materials, and class size is limited to six. Participants must be at least 13 years old.

Students will learn basic metalsmithing techniques including sawing, filling, soldering, stone setting and finishing. The classes are created with beginners in mind. All classes use sterling silver.

“The Rings class is a fun way to be creative in a stress-free environment,” Lowe said. “Friends can come learn a new craft together, or students can meet new people with similar interests. All projects can be customized to accommodate your personal style, and you leave with a ring the first night!”

A happy hour will be held from 4 to 6 p.m., Friday, April 26, as the gallery opens its exhibition Front of the House/Back of the House. Featuring brooches made by 19 artists, the exhibition asked participating artists to address duality using the format of a brooch.

Heidi Lowe Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Heidi Lowe Gallery is at 328 Rehoboth Ave. in Rehoboth Beach. For more information and to register for class, go to www.heidilowejewelry.com.
