Cape Gazette escapes the cold, heads south to Sarasota, Florida

April 13, 2019

In February, Sarah Pavlik, Rob Putt, Betty Goldman, Martin Yerick, Lori Bernstein and Jack Ansaldi gathered in Sarasota, Florida to read the Cape Gazette in a much warmer climate. While in Sarasota, they also enjoyed visiting Mary Selby Gardens, which featured a Gauguin exhibit, highlighting his life in the South Pacific through plants. Other stops included the Ringling Museum that boasts an art museum, circus museum and the winter home of Mable and John Ringling, Ca’ D’zan, circa 1924. Of course, the highlight of the trip was a visit to Siesta Key, the #1 beach in the USA, where they attended drum circle, a sunset celebration that takes place on Sunday evenings.
