Horseshoe Crab & Shorebird Festival returns to Milton May 25

Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge and the Milton Chamber of Commerce will present the 16th Annual Horseshoe Crab & Shorebird Festival from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, May 25.

This festival celebrates horseshoe crabs, shorebirds and other natural resources while encouraging citizen awareness and participation in wildlife-dependent recreation. Activities occur at the Milton Memorial Park and Prime Hook NWR; each will be offering choices from art to science and nature education.

Milton Memorial Park will have exhibits from environmental organizations, vendors, crafts, food, and entertainment.

Prime Hook NWR will feature opportunities for visitors to get outside and connect with nature including hikes, a kayak trip, videos, a horseshoe crab touch tank, touch-and-see equipment utilized for habitat conservation, and special guests from the Brandywine Zoo.
