Eastern Shore author Katie Barney publishes international cookbook

Easton, Md. resident Katie Barney has announced the publication of her newest cookbook, “The Enchanting World of Food.”

The cookbook includes recipes from around the world as well as the history of the 200 represented countries, cuisine history and the dining etiquette for each country. The recipes have been contributed by ambassadors, their chefs, and friends of the author.

The ISBN is 978-0-9666610-1-9. The price is $34.95.

Barney, born in Baltimore, Md., is a descendant of the Clagett (Claggett) family of Maryland, and many old New England whaling families.

She has lived in many of the the United States’ great architectural, historical and waterside gems including New Castle, Annapolis, Md., Newport and Providence, R.I., Cold Spring Harbor, N.Y., San Francisco, Philadelphia, Greenwich, Conn., Alexandria, Va., Washington, D.C. and New York City. 

Barney is the co-author of “The Best of Newport,” author of “Annapolis: The Guidebook,” “Eastern Shore of Maryland: The Guidebook,” “Chesapeake’s Bounty,” “Chesapeake’s Bounty II,” “New England’s Bounty,” “Nantucket’s Bounty,” “Maryland’s Western Shore: The Guidebook,” and several publications on the fiber-optic telecommunications business.
