Epworth and Faith UMC set Vacation Bible School July 21-25
Epworth United Methodist Church and Faith United Methodist Church have announced the return of Vacation Bible School to Epworth this summer.
Epworth and Faith have collaborated in selecting To Mars and Beyond! as this year’s VBS theme. Teachers, pastors, and volunteers from both churches will conduct VBS evenings from 5:30 tp 7:30 p.m., Sunday, July 21, to Thursday, July 25. VBS activities will be offered for children and youth from preschool through high school, as well as a class for adults. All are welcome to share this journey.

To Mars and Beyond will help participants discover the wonders of God’s universe as they become voyagers journeying through space and exploring where God’s power can take them along the way. The mission will include collecting power sources like faith, boldness, kindness, thankfulness and hope as attendees learn about how God walked with heroes of the Bible and is always with them as well. Lessons will include music, crafts, science, recreation and snacks related to the theme.
VBS will be held this year at Epworth United Methodist Church, 19285 Holland Glade Road, Rehoboth Beach. Epworth UMC is a church exploring faith and embracing community, truly practicing open doors, open minds, and open hearts as a member of the Reconciling Ministry Network, and includes American Sign Language services.
Faith United Methodist Church is a covenant partner congregation with Epworth, along with Israel UMC, coordinating ministries and studies together for the past two years. For more information, go to www.eumcrb.org.
