Continuing the trend of increasing safety on Henlopen and Columbia avenues in Rehoboth, the city has installed a stop sign at the t-intersection of Henlopen Avenue and Grove Street.

In a press release July 11, the city urged caution while drivers become acquainted with the new sign.

Over the past two summers the city has made a number of safety improvements on Henlopen and Columbia avenues, which have become popular with pedestrians and bicyclists using the 16-mile bike loop connecting Lewes and Rehoboth. On Henlopen Avenue, the city has also installed stop signs at the intersection with Easton Street. On Columbia Avenue, the city installed stop signs at the intersection with Second Street and, just a few weeks ago, a speed cushion at the intersection with Kent Street.

Questions regarding any of the new safety measures may be directed to the Communications Department at 302-227-6181 ext. 522 or communications@cityofrehoboth.com.
