Cape Gazette and the Village People go north to Alaska

August 11, 2019

While there was no gold to be found in Alaska, there was plenty of exploration for the “Village People.”

This adventurous group received its name as all live in the Villages of Five Points in Lewes.

The trip began with two nights in Anchorage then off to a three-night stay in Denali.

The scenery was breathtaking as Mount Denali, a rare sight, was viewable.

Wildlife views were fabulous with grizzly bears, eagles, sheep, caribou and many more.

They then took a train to the ship in Whittier, Alaska. Cruise ports included Skagway, Juneau and Ketchikan with many tour options including whale watches, cruises to glaciers and walking the towns.
