Milton Elementary hosts STEAM night
The Milton Elementary PTO hosted a STEAM night Nov. 15. All families were invited to attend the event with activities focused on science, technology, engineering, art and math.
Milton Elementary teachers and representatives from community resources were also present to share in the experience with the students and families.
Stations set up throughout the school cafeteria explored butterfly chromatography, strawberry DNA, marshmallow towers, beekeeping education, secrets of spirals, boat building, fungus farming ants, and paper circuits.
Help in coordinating the station’s activities was provided through local organizations including Rehoboth Art League, Sussex County Beekeepers, University of Delaware Extension Office, Delaware Sea Grant and the Great STEMporium.
