State announces three new COVID-related deaths

The Delaware Division of Public Health has announced three additional deaths related to COVID-19.

In total, 413 Delawareans have died due to complications from the coronavirus. Individuals who have died from COVID-19 ranged in age from 21 to 103 years old. Of those who have died, 220 were females and 193 were males. A total of 186 individuals were from New Castle County, 78 were from Kent County and 149 were from Sussex County.

The most recent deaths announced today ranged in age from 65 to 85. Two individuals were female and one was male. One was a New Castle County resident and two were Kent County residents. All three individuals had underlying health conditions. Two were residents of long-term care facilities.

The latest Delaware COVID-19 case statistics cumulatively since March 11 include:

  • 10,056 total positive cases
  • New Castle County cases: 4,139
  • Kent County cases: 1,530
  • Sussex County cases: 4,373
  • Unknown County: 14
  • Females: 5,545; Males: 4,494; Unknown: 17
  • Age range: 0 to 103
  • Currently hospitalized: 108; Critically ill:17 
  • Delawareans recovered: 5,939
  • 61,689 negative cases
