Rehoboth’s canal access dock taking shape

Structure of ramp leading down nearly in place; expected completion in November
July 29, 2020

Work continues to progress on the much-anticipated Lewes-Rehoboth Canal access dock near Grove Park in Rehoboth Beach.

Construction began in April. A few weeks later, an old observation deck was removed because the foundation was poorly constructed. A few weeks after that, the first set of concrete blocks was put into place. Now, as of July 15, the block foundation of the ramp appears to be nearly complete.

In May, Rehoboth Beach Public Works Director Kevin Williams said the $1.25 million project is expected to be completed in November.
