Bernice M. Jackson, 91, of Georgetown, formerly of Dover, passed away Sunday, July 19, 2020, at the Delaware Veterans Home in Milford. She was born in Georgetown Feb. 25, 1929, to Harley and Effie (nee Fleetwood) Wilson.
She served her country for 20 years with the U.S. Air Force, reaching the rank of major, working as a nurse. She served in many locations, including Vietnam, but her favorite tour was in the Philippines.
Bernice is survived by her brother, Harley Wilson; and her niece, Maria Hammond, both of Georgetown.
No formal services will be held. Arrangements in the care of Short Funeral Services, Georgetown.
