Event rescheduled for Dec. 11, 2021

The Women’s Club of Milton, which hosts the annual Milton Holiday House Tour, has announced that this year’s event originally scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 12, has been canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Next year’s tour is set for Saturday, Dec. 11, 2021. Members of the WCOM executive board and holiday house tour committee made the decision to postpone after much discussion. President Carol Ann Stone said, “Thinking through the many logistics of our event and the safety of our homeowners, docents, guests and all other participants, we felt it best not to risk the health of our many generous supporters.”

Without the income provided by the holiday house tour, the WCOM’s largest yearly fundraiser, the club is developing alternative ideas for fundraising which will require minimal personal contact. More information will be provided on these at a later date.

The Women’s Club of Milton is a nonprofit organization and a member of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs. Members are united by the common desire to serve the community through volunteer service and fundraising to enrich the lives of others. Fundraising proceeds are used to award scholarships to local young women entering college. The club also supports the Milton community and organizations beyond.
