In Shape Studio to open in Rehoboth

December 4, 2020

As the holiday season comes, and with it come full helpings of turkey, ham and pie, New Year’s resolutions to drop a few pounds will be close behind.

To help with that, the husband-and-wife team of Manny Tejeda and Valeria Baulina have founded In Shape Studio in Rehoboth Beach.

The studio is offering barre and stretching classes; barre is a hybrid workout that includes elements of yoga, Pilates and ballet. Baulina said the classes are full-body workouts meant to improve strength, stability and range of motion. She said workouts are available for adults and kids. Personal training will also be offered.

Baulina said classes typically last an hour with two classes offered per day. She said classes will follow state COVID-19 protocols with masks required, hand sanitizer stations and equipment sanitized before and after use. Classes will be booked in advance through the MINDBODY fitness app or through In Shape Studio’s Instagram and Facebook pages. Baulina said pricing will vary by program.

Originally from Russia, Baulina became interested in stretching and yoga at a young age. She was a gymnast and said she has always wanted to own her own studio.

“I wanted a space where everyone can be happy and healthy,” she said.

In Shape Studio is located at 20245 Bay Vista Road Unit 106. For more information, go to @in.shape.studio on Instagram.
