Milton VFW 6984 donates Buddy Baskets to American Legion Auxiliary Unit 17

The VFW 6984 in Milton recently donated a Buddy Basket to American Legion Auxiliary Unit 17 President Gail Willey. Buddy Baskets are filled with household items which will be presented to homeless veterans to welcome them into their new homes. An upcoming fundraiser at the Greene Turtle is planned for Tuesday, Jan. 10, in the Villages of Five Points in Lewes.
The public is also invited to a Buddy Basket Packing Day at 10 a.m., Monday, Jan. 16, at American Legion Post 28 on Route 24 in Millsboro to commemorate the Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service. Donations continue to be accepted at any American Legion post and the Sussex County RSVP program.
