Darrell Duane Dorman, maintenance technician

Mr. Darrell Duane Dorman, 60, of Dagsboro passed away Thursday, April 29, 2021, at home after a long battle with cancer. 

Darrell was born in Seaford Oct. 17, 1960, to the late Robert L. Dorman Sr. and Hilda Lynch M. Dorman.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Donna Truitt, and a brother, Paul Dorman.

He worked as a maintenance technician for Townsends and Mountaire before retiring due to health reasons.  He prayed every day and believed in the Lord. He loved just shooting the breeze, and hanging out with his friends and family.  Darrell enjoyed hunting arrowheads and collected them.  He could make you smile just by being in his company.  Darrell  was a family man who adored his children and grandchildren, and will be dearly missed by his entire family and all those who knew him.

Darrell is survived by three children, Stacy Scott of Delmar, Md., Darrell “Bubba” Dorman Jr.  and Michael Dorman, both of Dagsboro.  He has three brothers, Robert Dorman Jr. (Kimberly) of Gumboro, Dawn Dorman of Dagsboro and Charlie Dorman (Gail) of Dagsboro.  He also leaves behind five grandchildren Cody, Christian, Gabriel, Mike and Isaac, as well as extended family and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 4, at Dagsboro Redmen’s Memorial Cemetery, Iron Branch Road in Dagsboro,
