McDonald’s/Meoli Companies sponsors Girls on the Run team

McDonald’s/The Meoli Companies has once again sponsored the Girls on the Run Seaford Central Elementary School team for 2021 and contributed to the Girls on the Run Delaware full and partial scholarship fund, ensuring many more girls in Sussex County can participate in the program.

This marks the eighth season in a row that McDonald’s/The Meoli Companies has generously supported Girls on the Run Delaware.

Girls on the Run is a positive youth development program for girls in third to eighth grades. The mission is to inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running.

In all, 44 teams and more than 450 girls led by dedicated volunteer coaches were involved statewide in the eight-week program for the spring 2021 season. Teams used an adapted curriculum to meet safely, both virtually and outdoors while socially distancing, and concluded with celebratory 5K races at sites throughout Delaware.
