Reading the Gazette while riding the Phoenix at Knoebels Amusement Park
September 25, 2021
On August 14, Debra Quinton of Lewes & Erica Henters of Baltimore rode on one of the oldest, wooden roller coasters in America at Knoebels Amusement Park in Elysburg, PA. It’s the first time the Cape Gazette has ever been read while riding on the Phoenix.
According to Wikipedia, Phoenix is a wooden roller coaster located at the Knoebels Amusement Resort in Elysburg, Pennsylvania. Prior to its purchase by Knoebels and its subsequent relocation in the mid-1980s, it was operated under the name "The Rocket" at Playland Park in San Antonio, Texas.
