‘Dogfish Head Book’ authors to chat Nov. 29

November 23, 2021

The Lewes Public Library and Browseabout Books will host an evening of storytelling with Dogfish Head founder and brewer Sam Calagione, Dogfish Head co-founder Mariah Calagione and Dogfish Inn General Manager Andrew C. Greeley as they celebrate the release of “The Dogfish Head Book: 26 Years of Off-Centered Adventures” at 5 p.m., Monday, Nov. 29, via Zoom.

The authors will regale participants with tales of the offbeat escapades that propelled Dogfish Head to become one of the largest and most well-known craft breweries in America. Their delightful new book provides a detailed account of the brand’s history told through heartfelt stories from the authors, a timetable of Dogfish Head’s off-centered beverage releases, and a variety of enjoyable anecdotes from co-workers.

“It’s always been a dream of mine to be an author, and having the chance to co-write this particular book was so much fun,” said Greeley. “Together, Sam, Mariah and I thoughtfully planned each chapter, designing the pages to be an informal interaction with the reader, almost like we were sharing our stories with them over a couple of beers while sitting around the fire pit at the Dogfish Inn.”

To register, go to lewes.lib.de.us.

Participants are encouraged to support the authors by purchasing a copy of the book from local independent bookstore Browseabout Books. Each copy will be signed. Orders may be placed online at browseaboutbooks.com, by calling the store at 302-226-2665, or in person at 133 Rehoboth Ave., Rehoboth Beach.
