Lewes Board of Ethics meets Nov. 30

The Lewes Board of Ethics will meet at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 30, at city hall. The posted agenda has no topics of discussion other than approval of minutes. 

Historic preservation to meet in Lewes

The Lewes Historic Preservation Commission will meet at 6 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 2, at city hall and via Zoom. 

The meeting will open with a public hearing on a request for the demolition of a rear portion of a home, an attached one-story shed and a one-story screened porch at 119 Madison Ave., a contributing structure. 

The application will be considered at the regular meeting immediately following the hearing. Also under consideration is a request for the complete demolition of a vacant dwelling unit at 329A Mulberry St., and the partial demolition of a vacant dwelling unit at 331A Mulberry St. The application also calls for reconstruction of a two-story dwelling using the existing block foundation of 331A. Mitigation Planning Team to meet Dec. 2

The Lewes Mitigation Planning Team will meet at 9 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 2, at city hall and via Zoom. 

Among items to be discussed is a proposal from Tony Pratt regarding assistance in addressing chronic beach and dune erosion. The full agenda and a link to the meeting can be found on the agenda at lewes.civicweb.net

Transportation committee to meet 

The Rehoboth Beach Streets and Transportation Committee will meet virtually at 1:30 p.m., Friday, Dec. 3, with an anchor location at city hall, 229 Rehoboth Ave. 

The agenda calls for continued discussion on: a potential crosswalk on Rehoboth Avenue between Fourth and Fifth streets, possible streetscape work for King Charles Avenue, the height of wayfinding signs for bicycles, and bicyclists heading east from the bike trail to Rehoboth Avenue.
