Youth anglers come out for Andy & Opie fishing tournament

June 8, 2022

Families lined the banks of the Broadkill River June 4 for what has become an annual tradition in Milton: the Andy & Opie Fishing Tournament.

Presented by Techno Goober, the tournament is designed to encourage kids and their families to have fun outside. The event was free to all, and rods and bait were provided on site. Anglers fished the river banks both at Milton Memorial Park and at the Magnolia Street parking lot.

And while fun was the name of the game, there was nothing quite like the thrill of the catch.
