Cape boys’ lax celebrates 2022 season
Vikings reached state finals with 15-4 record

The 2022 Cape Henlopen boys’ lacrosse team held its season-ending banquet July 1 in the upstairs room at Irish Eyes in Lewes.
The team finished the season with a 15-4 record, losing 13-11 to Salesianum in the state championship.
In the last four years, Cape has reached the state finals three times, winning in 2019 12-10, followed by the 2020 COVID shutdown, then a pair of two-goal losses in the 2021 and 2022 state finals.
Hank D’Ambrogi earns Team MVP.
Mikey Frederick is named Offensive MVP.
Finn Forcucci wins the Defensive MVP.
Andrew Wolak and C.J. Fritchman are co-winners of the Unsung Hero Award.
Hunter Jones is named Most Improved.
Evan Erhardt takes the Sportsmanship Award.
Lucas Stevenson is the 2022 JV MVP.
