Lefty’s collecting school supplies thru Aug. 22
For the fifth year, Lefty’s Alley & Eats is serving as a drop-off location for school supplies for the Cape Henlopen Educational Foundation’s Caravan of Caring.
CHEF officials are particularly interested in ensuring that students from low-income homes or those who are experiencing homelessness have supplies they need for success in the classroom. CHEF is also collecting monetary donations for technology and virtual needs to assist students.
Materials requested include binders, tissue boxes, pens, bottled glue, expo markers, zip drives, backpacks, erasers, loose-leaf paper, colored pencils, baby wipes, scissors and ear buds.
Supplies will be accepted through Monday, Aug. 22, at drop-off boxes at Lefty’s Alley & Eats in Lewes.
Lefty's will give a $1 credit on a game card for every item dropped off there, up to a maximum of $10.
Other drop-off locations include Staples in Rehoboth Beach, and Sydney’s Restaurant and Lounge in Milton. Monetary donations can be made payable to CHEF and mailed to 1270 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE 19958.
