Less than a month ago, Second Block Hospitality Group opened its first restaurant Drift on Baltimore Avenue in Rehoboth Beach. Now, the partnership has its eyes on a recently vacated restaurant on North First Street.

Most recently called Square One, the restaurant space now has a Second Block Hospitality Group sign hanging in the window. The business partnership comprises The Pines owners Bob Suppies, Tyler Townsend, David Gonce and Chef Lion Gardner.

In an email Aug. 25, Suppies said the group has made no decisions on what kind of restaurant will go in the new space, but the ability to change the floor plan will help push them one way or the other.

“We are still exploring options. In less than a month, we will decide,” said Suppies. “We are meeting with architects and designers now.”
