Italian comedy wedding fundraiser RSVPs due Oct. 10
Ovation Dinner Theater and the Italian-American Heritage Club will present “Joey and Gina's Italian Comedy Wedding” at 6 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 15, at the CHEER Community Center, 20520 Sand Hill Road, Georgetown. Doors open at 5:15 p.m.
The fundraiser supports scholarships to benefit Sussex County high school seniors.
It is a full wedding, so guests should be ready for plenty of eating, dancing and frivolity. With audience participation, everything and anything that can go wrong does.
The show will have guests dancing, acting and laughing themselves silly as Joey and Gina try to keep their special day from turning into a complete disaster. Will Father Goldstein remain sober? Will club dancer Losy Linhan keep her clothes on? Who will watch over Nonna on her day out from the home?
Tickets are $85 per person, which includes the show and a three-course buffet meal. The menu includes baked chicken, lasagna, meatballs, scalloped potatoes, mixed vegetables, red beets, dinner rolls, wedding cake and assorted desserts, as well as hot coffee and tea. A cash bar will be available.
