Please preserve Cape Henlopen State Park

October 31, 2022

I am writing this email concerning the proposed restaurant at Cape Henlopen State Park. Please make sure this does not happen to one of the most beautiful parks I know. It was one of the reasons I moved to Delaware. There just isn’t a reason to have it ruined with a restaurant/bar. This is where people go to enjoy peace and wildlife, not food and drink. Just a short distance away are so many restaurants for people to enjoy. It is not necessary to have this turn into a place that will end up causing many problems. It will disrupt the wildlife, bring a lot of noise, trash and accidents. There are so many people enjoying the beautiful fresh air, walking and riding bikes, but now we will have increased traffic leaving the restaurant, driving in the park, and there will be accidents. Keep this park preserved as the beautiful park it is; don’t allow its beauty to be ruined by letting a restaurant there.
