Rehoboth Royal Farms adding a dozen Tesla chargers
A dozen new Tesla charging stations will be open soon at the Royal Farms on Route 1 outside Rehoboth Beach.
According to installers on site, the chargers are expected to be up and running within the next week.
When functioning, the bank of stations at Royal Farms will be the most at one location. The Wawa outside Lewes on Dartmouth Drive and the Wawa outside Rehoboth on Veterans Way each have seven.
It’s unclear if the Royal Farms chargers will be a supercharger location like the Wawas. According to the Tesla website, the chargers at the supercharger locations are the fastest-charging options, allowing a car to charge up to 200 miles in 15 minutes. The company website also says all four models of its cars have a fully charged driving range of about 330 miles (Model Y) to 400 miles (Model S).
