Home of the Brave says thanks

April 14, 2023
Paradise Pub in Long Neck recently sponsored its fourth annual Wing Competition. The Home of the Brave was selected to receive the proceeds. We are ecstatic about the amount of support we received from the community.

The initial total was $6,000, and Jeff Garrison of Garrison Homes asked those in attendance to dig deeper. Once all was said and done, Garrison Homes matched donations with $10,000 for a total of over $20,000.

We wish to thank Al Tortello, Barbara Ann Racine Kerezsi, the staff at Paradise Pub, Jeff Garrison and everyone who was involved in this amazing event. We cannot begin to name each person and organization that took part, but we want to say as a nonprofit, your generosity is imperative to providing unparalleled transitional services to homeless veterans throughout Delaware and beyond. We could not do what we do so successfully for over 30 years without the continued support of our community.

Heather Travitz, Home of the Brave executive director
