Dewey Beach Lions Club donates to police department
$5,000 earmarked for new ATV/Gator to patrol beach

Dewey Beach Lions Club member Zeke Przygocki stopped by town hall July 24 to present officials with a $5,000 donation toward the purchase of a new ATV/Gator for patrolling the beach.
The Dewey Beach Police Department will use the six-person Polaris Law Enforcement vehicle year-round on both the bay and ocean beaches for faster response times.
Chief Constance Speake said she does not yet have a timeline for when the vehicle will be in use; she said she hopes to purchase it this week and get it outfitted shortly thereafter.
