Bicyclists should obey the rules

September 15, 2023

I live in downtown Lewes. Although many people riding bicycles in Lewes follow all the laws, not all do. I see adults riding on the sidewalk in front of my home every day. These people are obviously over the age of 12. I also see adults riding the wrong way on Second Street. I have no problem slowing down behind bicycles where there is nowhere to pull over. I have major problems with people who have plenty of room to move over and do not do so. I ask all folks on bicycles to obey the rules.
