Millsboro Lions choose Everett Rust as 2011 Lion of the Year

Millsboro Lions Club member Everett Rust recently received the 2011 Lion of the Year Award. He received a plaque and a certificate for outstanding service, loyalty and devotion to Lionism. Rust has been a member of the club for 38 years and is on the board of directors.

Immediate Past District 22 Gov. Karl Gude presented the award. Before presenting it, Gude spoke concerning The Kusiak Lions Youth Foundation of Multiple District 22 Inc.,  usually referred to as Lions Youth Foundation. The mission of the foundation is to empower young people to help themselves and others through activities supported by the Lions Clubs of Maryland, Delaware and the District of Columbia and their communities.
