This is in response to the letter written by the individual who is offended that there is a road named Plantation Road in Sussex County. In my opinion, there are other things in Sussex County and the world rather than a road name that you find offensive. Why not change the name of Indian River Inlet since some Native Americans might find it offensive? In my opinion, when the word Plantation was chosen for the road and various developments, it was not done to slight enslaved individuals. You are stirring a tempest in a teapot that does not exist.
