‘A Quiet Life’ author to sign books Dec. 2

Browseabout Books will host a happy hour and book signing event to celebrate the release of Ethan Joella’s novel, “A Quiet Life,” from 3 to 5 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 2, at 133 Rehoboth Ave., Rehoboth Beach. Snacks and drinks will be available.

Set in a close-knit Pennsylvania suburb in the grip of winter, “A Quiet Life” is a powerful and life-affirming story that follows three people grappling with loss and finding a tender wisdom in their grief. The three parallel narratives converge in poignant and unexpected ways, as each character bravely presses onward, trying to recover something they have lost.

Joella teaches English and psychology at the University of Delaware. He is also the author of “A Little Hope,” which was a Read with Jenna Bonus Selection, and “The Same Bright Stars.” He lives in Rehoboth Beach with his wife and two daughters.
