Cape Henlopen Elks donate $3,000 to breast cancer coalition

Cape Henlopen Elks Lodge 2540 representatives recently presented a $3,000 donation check to Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition. The funds were proceeds of an Oct. 21 dinner the lodge held to raise money and awareness for the cause.
Connie Holdridge spoke as a breast cancer survivor and described the mission of the coalition. Ruby Schaeffer gave the keynote speech.
Elks Lodge 2540 has donated to the coalition in the past, and the ongoing relationship helps spread awareness of the importance of screenings and taking care of one’s health.
