A Thanksgiving feast is tradition. And thanks to the efforts of volunteers from the Food Bank of Delaware, Harry K. Foundation and Perdue Farms, many needy families will get to partake in that tradition this year.
On Nov. 14, more than 600 boxes of chicken roasters and fixings were delivered to families in school districts around the state, with the majority in Kent and Sussex counties. This is the fourth year the three organizations have teamed up to distribute meals; a second distribution is held in December for Christmas.
And while his name may be on the foundation’s name, it doesn’t stop founder Harry Keswani from lending a helping hand with loading trucks.
