We want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who helped offer our third VegWinterFest to the community at the Lewes library March 3. Volunteers elevate every organization to a higher level, and this Sunday was no exception. From the volunteers at the Marine Education, Research and Rehabilitation Institute; CAMP Rehoboth; and VegRehoboth welcoming everyone who came in the door, staffing the registration desk, serving lunch, to Tony Buffkin, who generously taught us how to fold napkins properly and offered to cook a sumptuous vegan meal as an auction item, and Susan Morissette who leapt to offer her skills as an auctioneer extraordinaire and everyone else who gave time and energy, we cannot do anything without your generous help.
Thanks to the vendors who filled the halls with wonderful products and learning and opportunity. Thanks to our speakers: Hari Cameron, Rich Ferrandino, Dorothy Greet, Krista Griffin, Sue McCarthy and Steuart Martens. All spoke eloquently about their passion for health and longevity, and how exploring a plant-based lifestyle can support that passion. Special thanks to Hari Cameron, who prepared and served a delicious lunch, proving once again that plant-based food is delicious food! Thanks to Robb Mapou, the Uke Guy, for his afternoon serenades. Thanks to attendees who donated more than $100 of canned goods that will be distributed through the Teach a Person to Fish Society. And of course, thanks to everyone who came and the Lewes library, which gives wonderful meeting space to all the worthy groups that populate its halls through the week.
