Lewes municipal, BPW election filing deadlines April 4

The filing deadline for the Lewes municipal election is Thursday, April 4, and the city manager will accept candidate filing forms until 4:30 p.m. at city hall.

The forms are available online or at city hall.

Deputy Mayor Khalil Saliba has filed to run for re-election.

Planning Commissioner Amy Marasco has filed for the city council seat to be vacated by Carolyn Jones, who is retiring.

The Lewes Board of Public Works candidate filing deadline is also 4:30 p.m., Thursday, April 4, for the three open seats on the board of directors.

The forms are available online or at the BPW offices in city hall.

Three incumbents – Richard Nichols, Tom Panetta and Earl Webb – have filed to run for reelection.

Lewes Planning Commissioner Bob Heffernan is also running for a seat.
