Saunders is kind of person Rehoboth needs

July 23, 2024

I have known Mark Saunders for over 35 years. We are older and have less hair today but some things about Mark never change. He is kind, compassionate and always ready to engage in thoughtful debate and dialogue. He listens and considers multiple points of view as he carefully deliberates and makes decisions. Mark is the man Rehoboth Beach needs for commissioner at this time. He understands the importance of balancing the interests of business owners, residents and visitors to our community.

Mark has invested the time to get to know Rehoboth Beach. He has served on the Rehoboth Beach Homeowners Association as well as a variety of committees in service to our community. These experiences have prepared him to be a thoughtful and decisive commissioner.

I’ll end my enthusiastic endorsement of Mark with an anecdote. When I heard he was running, I sent him a text and said, “Where do we make campaign contributions? Go get em.” Mark’s response was predictable: “Thanks but no need to; I’m self-funding to avoid conflicts but thanks anyway!”

This is the kind of person we need as Rehoboth Beach commissioner. Please vote for Mark Saunders Saturday, Aug. 10.
