Saunders is passionate about Rehoboth Beach

August 6, 2024

Mark Saunders first introduced himself to me as the president of the Rehoboth Beach Homeowners’ Association. It was clear from the start that Mark cared about Rehoboth Beach and wanted to make a difference.

I had been aware of RBHA for years but had not actively participated in the organization until Mark reached out directly. He had a goal, a mission to take RBHA back to its roots. He wanted the organization to again be able to speak for the residents of Rehoboth Beach. To do that, he needed to grow its membership, and he succeeded.

In a little under two years, RBHA grew from 300-plus members to more than 800 members. It was his leadership and commitment that allowed that to happen.

Don't let his casual demeanor fool you. It is that trait that allows him to bring people together and work toward a common goal. He does his homework, and he has been listening to the residents of Rehoboth Beach and actively working on their behalf for years. He is passionate about our city, and as a city commissioner, he can put that energy and commitment to work.
