Painting sale proceeds to benefit Milton music and wind fest
Milton-based artist Bill Warrell announced sale proceeds from his painting, “Randy and Marge,” will support the Milton New Music & Wind Fest set for Saturday, May 31.
The artwork depicts his late friend, musician Randy Weston, playing Warrell’s grandmother's piano. The piece will be included in the upcoming Rhapsody In Blue exhibit at Milton Arts Guild.
The artist creates paintings from memories and inspiration following 40 years of presenting modern jazz and chamber music, and producing festivals. Now retired to a life as a painter, Warrell works in his home studio on Federal Street in Milton and on the beach at Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge.
